1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of all products and services provided by Zelfium Inc. ("Zelfium," "we," "us," or "our"), including Zelfium Affinia, Zelfium Libra, and any associated websites, applications, and AI-powered features (collectively, the "Services").
This AUP is incorporated into and works alongside our Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you violate this policy, we may suspend or terminate your access as described in the Enforcement section below.
Zelfium provides personality assessment tools and AI-powered features designed for personal insight and self-exploration. The nature of this data demands responsible use, and this policy exists to protect all users from misuse.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Services for any of the following purposes. This list is organized by category but is not exhaustive. Zelfium reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a particular use violates this policy.
2.1 General Prohibitions
- Engaging in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or bullying other users or any individual
- Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity
- Engaging in fraud, deception, or misleading conduct in connection with the Services
- Distributing malware, viruses, trojans, or any other malicious software through or in connection with the Services
- Using the Services to send unsolicited communications (spam) or engage in phishing
2.2 EU AI Act Article 5 — Prohibited Practices
In accordance with the EU AI Act, the following practices are absolutely prohibited in connection with Zelfium's services and assessment data:
- Social scoring: Using personality assessment results to evaluate or classify individuals for social scoring purposes, whether by public authorities or private entities
- Exploitation of vulnerabilities: Using assessment data to exploit the vulnerabilities of specific groups of persons due to their age, disability, social or economic situation
- Subliminal manipulation: Deploying subliminal techniques using assessment data or AI outputs to materially distort a person's behavior in a manner that causes or is likely to cause harm
- Real-time biometric identification: While not applicable to Zelfium's current services, Zelfium expressly commits to never deploying real-time biometric identification systems
2.3 Assessment-Specific Prohibitions
Personality assessment data is sensitive and personal. The following uses of assessment results from the SymbolMAG assessment or any Zelfium product are strictly prohibited:
- Employment decisions: Using personality assessment results to make or influence employment decisions, including but not limited to hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, job assignment, or performance evaluation
- Insurance decisions: Using results for insurance underwriting, denial of coverage, or pricing of insurance products
- Financial decisions: Using results for credit scoring, lending decisions, or housing eligibility determinations
- Psychological exploitation: Using results to bully, manipulate, coerce, or psychologically exploit any individual
- Unauthorized sharing: Sharing another person's assessment results without their explicit, informed consent
- Fraudulent responses: Creating fake, fabricated, or intentionally misleading assessment responses, whether for yourself or on behalf of another person
- Clinical misrepresentation: Presenting assessment results as clinical diagnoses, professional psychological evaluations, or medical opinions
- Legal misuse: Using assessment results as evidence in legal proceedings without proper expert testimony and appropriate judicial authorization
2.4 AI Feature Prohibitions
Zelfium's AI-powered features, including Zelfium Affinia and Zelfium Libra, are subject to the following additional restrictions:
- Attempting to extract, reconstruct, or reverse-engineer system prompts, model instructions, or internal configuration of any AI-powered feature
- Using AI features to generate content that is harmful, illegal, discriminatory, defamatory, or that violates the rights of others
- Misrepresenting AI-generated content as professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or career advice
- Accessing AI features through automated scripts, bots, or programmatic means without prior written authorization from Zelfium
- Deliberately attempting to cause the AI to produce harmful, biased, or misleading outputs through adversarial prompting
2.5 Technical Prohibitions
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive the scoring algorithms, psychometric methodology, or proprietary logic of the SymbolMAG assessment
- Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to extract data from the Services
- Circumventing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with rate limits, access controls, authentication mechanisms, or security measures
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Services, servers, or networks connected to the Services
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or any systems or networks connected to the Services
- Testing the vulnerability of the Services or any related system or network without prior written authorization
2.6 Organizational (B2B) Use
Organizations that use Zelfium's services on behalf of their employees, candidates, or members are subject to additional obligations set forth in our B2B Terms. Organizational customers must complete a Deployment Purpose Declaration that specifies how assessment data will be used, and must agree to the terms of our Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Organizational use that violates the B2B Terms or the declared deployment purpose constitutes a violation of this AUP.
2.7 Disparate Impact Commitment
Zelfium is committed to ensuring that its personality assessment tools do not produce discriminatory outcomes. We conduct regular disparate impact audits in accordance with the EEOC four-fifths (80%) rule to verify that our assessment methodology does not disproportionately disadvantage any protected group. Any use of Zelfium's services that introduces or amplifies discriminatory outcomes is prohibited.
3. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, we encourage you to report it promptly. You can report violations by contacting us at:

When reporting a violation, please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, relevant usernames or account identifiers, dates and times, and any supporting evidence such as screenshots or URLs.
Zelfium is committed to investigating all credible reports of policy violations in a timely and thorough manner. We will keep reporters informed of the outcome to the extent permitted by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
4. Enforcement
Zelfium enforces this AUP through a graduated response process. The specific action taken depends on the severity, frequency, and nature of the violation:
- Warning: For first-time or minor violations, we may issue a formal warning with a description of the violation and required corrective action.
- Temporary suspension: For repeated violations or moderately serious offenses, we may temporarily suspend your access to the Services for a defined period.
- Permanent termination: For severe violations, persistent misconduct after prior warnings, or any use that poses a risk to the safety or rights of others, we may permanently terminate your account and access to the Services.
Zelfium reserves the right to bypass the graduated response and immediately suspend or terminate access in cases of severe violations, including but not limited to illegal activity, security breaches, or actions that pose an immediate threat to users or the platform.
Where a violation constitutes or involves illegal activity, Zelfium reserves the right to report the matter to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and to cooperate fully with any resulting investigation.
Accounts terminated for AUP violations will not be reactivated. If your account is subject to enforcement action, we recommend exporting any data you wish to retain beforehand, to the extent the platform allows. Once an account is terminated, access to associated data may no longer be available.

This AUP is subject to change. Material updates will be communicated through the platform, and continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
